The most useful foods for the kidneys are fruits and vegetables, urologist and surgeon Pavel Karlov said in a comment to Roskachestvo.
He noted that whole grains, as well as low-fat dairy products, are also very helpful for the kidneys. It is necessary to have lean meat, chicken, turkey, fish, seafood in the diet.
The expert also recommended eating eggs, legumes, nuts, seeds, and soy products for normal kidney function.
According to Karlov, kidney health is directly linked to heart health, so you should regularly eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids. They are found in foods such as oily fish, avocados, olives, nuts and vegetable oils, with the exception of palm and coconut.
Among the drinks, the doctor noted fruit drinks, weak tea and rosehip broth.
