MakSim postponed concerts after calls from fans to stop touring

April 4, 2023

Singer MakSim has postponed upcoming concerts for health reasons. She announced it on her Instagram* social network page (an extremist social network banned in the Russian Federation).

The singer’s fans were worried about her health after a concert in Tver on April 1. During the performance, MakSim behaved strangely and could barely cope with the vocals. Before that, at a concert in Sochi, the singer could barely stand and did not hit the note, then suddenly threw the microphone away and left the stage.

After that, fans called for the cancellation of subsequent concerts on the I Will Live tour, saying on social media that the singer was being “killed” and needed to be “saved”. They also filed a complaint against the concert manager with the labor inspectorate, suspecting him of “exploiting” the singer.

As MakSim herself noted, the concert in Tver showed that work requiring full dedication is incompatible with the course of medical procedures. At the same time, the singer noted that “all is well with her, as far as it is now possible”.

“I have decided to postpone the next concerts, new dates are being agreed at the moment,” MakSim wrote.

The head of the MakSim fan club, Inna Fateeva, in a comment to Zvezda, said that by now the fans have managed to get the concert manager fired.

In 2021, the singer was admitted to hospital with pneumonia and a high percentage of lung damage. The doctors decided to put the patient in an artificial coma and connect her to a ventilator.

Last fall, MakSim had already canceled concerts for health reasons.
