A lecture on the appearance and life of the ancient inhabitants of Vologda will be held in the museum-reserve

On Saturday, April 8, Tatyana Panteleeva, a researcher at the Foundation Department, will tell the people of Vologda how their ancestors lived and looked like. The lecture will take place in the art department of the museum-reserve.

During the event, visitors will learn how anthropological research has developed in the Vologda region and how sculptural and graphic reconstructions are made.

A detailed narrative will be devoted to the characterization of townspeople. Last year, thanks to the Anthropological Portfolio of Medieval Vologda project, specialists were able to create eight images of the townspeople of the time, using materials from archaeological excavations.

The conference starts at 2:00 p.m. Age limit: 12 years and over. Tickets can be purchased with the Pushkin card.
