Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Chinese Foreign Ministry urges NATO to take responsibility for Ukraine crisis

The United States and the North Atlantic Alliance must take responsibility for the situation in Ukraine. This statement was made during the briefing of the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Mao Ning.

“As far as responsibility on the Ukrainian issue is concerned, I think the United States and military blocs such as NATO should take responsibility,” she said.

According to a representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the military-political bloc has no right to criticize Beijing or put pressure on it.

The diplomat drew attention to the fact that the Chinese side has always adhered to an objective and fair view on the crisis in Ukraine.

Mao Ning added that the document containing Beijing’s initiatives for a peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine fully reflects this position.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously noted that many provisions of China’s proposed peace plan could serve as the basis for a settlement if the West and Kiev are ready for it.
