The Egyptian website quoted a source in the Confederation of African Football as saying that the complaint was transferred to the Disciplinary Committee, including the report of the referee and the match observer.

The source added that the match observer’s report included the events that took place between the two teams in the corridor after the end of the match, and the referee’s report included the rioting of Al-Ahly fans and offensive chants against Al-Hilal.

According to the Egyptian website, the corridor leading to the dressing rooms at Cairo International Stadium witnessed altercations between Al-Ahly and Al-Hilal players after the end of the match, and the security forces intervened to resolve it.

A new escalating statement For its part, the Sudanese club Al-Hilal issued a new statement at dawn Thursday, which it posted on its official Facebook page, in which it accused "Al-Ahly fans (Al-Masry) to abandon the sportsmanship and show pride in racist and hateful rhetoric, as well as imaginary arrogance, in order to turn the stadium into a battlefield.". Al-Bayan accused Al-Ahly and its fans of preparing "A deliberate plan to paralyze the movement of Al-Hilal players and their administrative staff inside and outside the stadium, by verbally and physically assaulting Al-Hilal players, obstructing the administrative delegation and the public with vulgar and offensive cries, and throwing water bottles without protection from Egyptian security.". The statement concluded: "We assure the fans of Al-Hilal Al-Kabir and the masses of the Sudanese people in general, that our relationship with Al-Ahly club is no longer what it used to be, and we will remain awake until we recover the right of Al-Hilal and the fans of Sudan to impose harsh penalties on Al-Ahly and its fans.".

The Sudanese Hilal had filed a complaint against Al-Ahly against the background of the events that occurred in the meeting of the two teams in the last round of the group stage of the African Champions League, in which Al-Ahly won 3-0 and qualified for the quarter-finals.

Ramy Kamal, Deputy Secretary-General of the Sudanese Al-Hilal Club, had revealed that an official complaint had been submitted to the African Union (CAF) and the International Federation (FIFA,Football,Soccer) against the Egyptian Al-Ahly club because of the events that accompanied the two teams’ last match at Cairo Stadium, last Saturday.

He added that the complaint had been substantiated "Video clips confirming the violations that took place".
