October 3, 2025

Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui has called on Western countries to stop dictating Beijing how to behave on the Ukraine issue because they are in the wrong position, Izvestia reports.

“The West is not in a position to instruct China, let alone hold it accountable,” he said.

According to the ambassador, from the very beginning of the Ukrainian conflict, China took the initiative for a peaceful settlement and also did not transfer weapons to any of the parties.

On the eve of the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mao Ning called on America and NATO to take responsibility for the Ukrainian issue, and not to criticize the PRC, putting pressure on it.

In addition, Chinese President Xi Jinping called on all parties to the conflict to create conditions for the resumption of peace talks.
