In the United States, Democratic Congressman William Keating, co-authored by his colleagues Mike Quigley, Marcy Kaptur and Brian Fitzpatrick, drafted a resolution calling on American companies operating in Russia to reconsider their continued presence in the country, RT reports. .
The submitted document states that the companies’ activities in Russia would bring “financial benefits” allowing them to carry out a special operation. Members of Congress also called on businessmen to support initiatives to “promote democracy” in the Russian Federation.
Recall that after the start of the special operation, some foreign companies left Russia. As a result, foreign FMCG brands lost up to $2 billion in total.
At the same time, the reduction of activities in the Russian Federation did not affect the global network activity much. Sales in our country accounted for no more than 5% of total turnover.
