“Playing taster” – the easiest way to refrain from overeating was called by psychologist Denis Dolgov in his personal Telegram channel.
The expert said the saying that appetite comes with eating is not a verbal expression and is often true. He noted that in some situations a person may not notice that the body has already received the right amount of food and continue to eat until the stomach fills up.
He urged people to chew food slowly and carefully, like a taster does. According to him, it is necessary to learn to appreciate the taste of food – for example, to focus on the aroma of food, to try to determine the texture and taste of its various elements.
Dolgov noted that this will allow not to miss the moment of saturation and avoid overeating.
