Media: Ukrainian Armed Forces will face a tough battle for Crimea

Any attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to return Crimea will be difficult and bloody. This was reported by Al Jazeera TV channel after studying satellite images.

Thus, according to the media, Russian troops seriously strengthened their positions on the Crimean peninsula.

“From February to March, the Crimean border and surrounding areas were turned into a fortified barrier in anticipation of the expected spring counter-offensive by Ukrainian forces. In particular, an extensive network of trenches and fortifications was built, which now runs through the border villages of Crimea,” the document says.

Moreover, according to experts, an attempt to storm Crimea will be extremely dangerous even if the West provides Kiev with new and more advanced equipment.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday that the issue of returning Crimea to the control of the Kiev regime had only one possible solution.

On the eve of Brazilian leader Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said that the settlement of the crisis in Ukraine could hasten Kiev’s decision to end its claims on Crimea. The Head of State underlined that “Zelenskyy cannot want everything either”.
