Biden has canceled the state of emergency in the United States introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic

In the United States, the state of emergency introduced in March 2020 due to the spread of the coronavirus infection has been canceled since April 11. US President Joe Biden signed an executive order on April 10. The White House press office informed the public.

“The President has signed legislation that ends the national emergency imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” the Biden administration’s press center said in a statement to TASS.

Remember that the state of emergency in the United States was introduced three years ago by Donald Trump in order to quickly counter the pandemic and be able to attract additional reserves without the sanction of Congress. The bill to end the state of emergency was defended by Republican deputies.

Earlier, it was reported that WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced the possible end of the coronavirus pandemic and public health emergency in 2023.
