Ukrainian director Lopatenok accused Zelenskyy of betraying national interests

October 3, 2025

Ukrainian documentary filmmaker Igor Lopatenok believes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is responsible for the armed conflict in the country. He wrote about it on his Twitter account.

“The biggest lie of our time and the biggest betrayal of the interests of Ukraine is you, Zelenskyy, responsible for all this grief, if the Minsk agreements had been implemented, this would never have happened. Shame!,” Lopatenok wrote.

According to the director, Zelenskyy in his inaugural speech promised the Ukrainians to end the conflict in the Donbass.

He was elected because Ukraine did not want a war in the Donbass,” he summed up.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, reading a government statement entitled “The year of the turning point of new times – Strengthening Germany’s security and alliances, supporting Ukraine”, said that peace in Ukraine could not be achieved with the cessation of arms deliveries to the country.
