Star Citizen has received a new patch

April 13, 2023

3.18 had a rough start and the devs are fixing bugs. The new 3.18.1 patch is the first result of the effort and is available for download for all contributors.

The creators also announced that on April 13 the Free Fly event will begin, available until April 20, giving everyone the chance to try out the update without the need for a purchase.

The developers plan to test the game and new features more thoroughly to collect more data to quickly identify and fix issues. They also want to make sure the game can handle traffic spikes, including the Invictus Launch Week Free Fly event in late May.

Meanwhile, Star Citizen’s crowdfunding campaign is gaining momentum, and as of this writing, the total amount of sponsors has surpassed $563 million. The number of registered users also recently exceeded 4.4 million.
