Three Ukrainian saboteurs detained in Melitopol

April 13, 2023

Zaporizhzhia region acting governor Yevhen Balitsky said that in Melitopol, law enforcement agencies arrested three Ukrainian saboteurs. All have been implicated in the commission of terrorist attacks in the region.

According to him, the men blew up the railway tracks, prepared assassination attempts on station employees and administration employees. Law enforcement agencies confiscated explosives and components of improvised explosive devices from criminals, which they took from caches prepared by the SBU.

“I want to remind anyone who is considering following the orders of SBU terrorists: the punishment will be as severe as possible. In the Zaporizhzhia region, security measures have been tightened. All saboteurs and their accomplices will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” Balitsky wrote on his Telegram channel.

Earlier, law enforcement agencies detained a Russian citizen who, according to preliminary data, collaborated with Ukrainian intelligence services in the Zaporizhzhia region.
