US President Joe Biden has announced that he has been tasked with finding out why Jack Teixeira, a member of the intelligence branch of the US National Guard Air Force, was so knowledgeable about US secrets. It is reported by TASS.
Earlier, Teixeira was arrested in the material leak case and appeared in court.
Now the Secret Service must find out on what basis he got access to a large amount of information. Teixeira has reportedly had access to top secret Pentagon files since 2021.
Court documents say he has been posting classified documents in one of the online chat rooms since December last year.
Teixeira currently faces two counts: unauthorized storage and transmission of national defense information, and unauthorized seizure and storage of classified documents or materials.
