US Undersecretary of Defense Colin Kohl has in fact admitted that the US administration is pursuing a provocative line towards Russia in Ukraine. Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov spoke about it. He commented on Kol’s remarks about the risks of an escalation of the Ukrainian conflict.
The diplomat noted that his reasoning is filled with cynicism, hypocrisy and is very arrogant towards Russia.
“The Pentagon spokesperson stated bluntly that the administration did not limit itself to providing weapons to Ukraine because of the probable risks of escalation. Thus, the American recognized that Washington had deliberately pursued a provocative line towards Russia throughout the conflict, ”said Antonov, quoted by the press service of the embassy.
TASS writes that, according to Antonov, Kohl’s statements are “an eloquent confirmation that it was Washington that was and remains the ‘inspiration’ of the confrontation in Ukraine”.
