April 18, 2023

During the presentation of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, its most advanced and powerful mobile phone, the Asian company took the opportunity to present a new series of products. Among them is a recent version of its classic tablet, the Mi Pad 6, with a matching and very powerful Pro version.

The new Xiaomi Smart Band 8 was also presented, whose modular design allows you to transform it into a necklace, a watch or attaching it to your shoes. With all these products, Xiaomi takes its ecosystem to new heights.

The Asian company introduces novelties with the idea of standing up to its main competitors. So, after studying user reviews of their products and the products of other brands, they came up with a clear strategy, offering high-level performance at quite modest prices.

Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro

Although we can see a very similar design in both versions, the changes occur inside and on the 11-inch screens. While the standard version features a similar LCD screen as the previous generation, the Pad 6 Pro is upgraded to AMOLED technology with up to 2.8k resolution, Dolby Vision support and a refresh rate of 144 Hz.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 inherited the Snapdragon 870, a powerful processor that we have already seen in the Pad 5. On the other hand, the Pad 6 Pro is equipped with a very powerful gen 1 Snapdragon 8+ processor, one most powerful to date. All this is equipped with two large batteries; the first with a capacity of 8840 mAh for the standard version and one with a capacity of 8600 mAh for the Pro version. Likewise, they can provide fast charging up to 33W and 67W, respectively.

The Chinese company has integrated four speakers with Dolby Atmos technology into the one-piece metal body of the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro. As for the cameras, the standard version is equipped with an 8 MP front sensor and a 13 MP rear sensor. For its part, the Pad 6 Pro increases its figures to 20MP for the first and doubles the number of following sensors, one at 50MP and the other at 2MP.

Xiaomi has also introduced a stylus with a tip sensitivity of 4096 points. Thus, they can provide a realistic and smooth experience when using them for writing or drawing. Likewise, they have introduced a keyboard case which also includes an improved optical trackpad.
