US President Joseph Biden’s family earned $579.5 thousand in 2022 and paid $169.8 thousand in federal taxes, the White House said. A year earlier, the Bidens’ income was $610.7 thousand, of which $150.4 thousand was for paying taxes.
Last year, the couple donated $20.1 thousand to 20 different charities. The largest donation was made to the Beau Biden Foundation, which specializes in protecting children from abuse – $5,000.
Comparable was the income of the family of Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris – 456 thousand dollars. Roughly the same amount as the Bidens, Harris and her husband Douglas Emhoff spent about $23,000 on charity.
CNN previously reported that Biden will “definitely run” for re-election in 2024. According to the channel, the White House chief told political allies and officials about his desire to run, but the official statement to this subject could be postponed until the summer.
