Peskov called NATO a tool of war

– Published on:

The North Atlantic Alliance has always been an instrument of war, not of peace. At the same time, NATO continues to approach Russia’s borders. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, speaking at the opening of the educational marathon “Knowledge”.

“NATO is not an instrument of peace, it is an instrument of confrontation. This is exactly how NATO was conceived, designed and executed as an instrument of confrontation. It’s a war machine. And she was constantly approaching our borders,” Peskov said.

The Kremlin spokesman added that since the collapse of the USSR, the alliance has expanded six times towards Russia.

Earlier, Peskov announced the continuation of the line on the absorption of Ukraine into NATO. He noted that NATO continues to show an aggressive character, which has already been discussed in Russia, before the start of a special military operation.
