During the third week of April 2023, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) project to clear Yemeni lands of mines managed to extract 625 mines laid by the Houthi militia in various regions of Yemen, including 20 anti-personnel mines, 180 anti-tank mines, and 420 ammunition. unexploded, and 5 explosive devices.
The Masam team cleared 8 anti-personnel mines, 91 anti-tank mines, 209 unexploded ordnance and 4 explosive devices in Aden governorate, and removed 12 anti-personnel mines, 89 anti-tank mines, 211 unexploded ordnance and one explosive device in Marib governorate, bringing the number of mines cleared in a month. April has so far 2,223 mines, while the number of mines removed since the beginning of the “Masam” project has reached 395,245, which the Houthi militia planted randomly throughout Yemen to harvest more innocent victims among children, women and the elderly. The Kingdom, represented by the King Salman Relief Center, continues through the project to clear the Yemeni lands of mines, and to contribute to helping the Yemeni brothers to live a decent life.
