The Russian military in the area of the special operation will use the latest T-14 “Armata” main tanks to carry out attacks against the positions of Ukrainian units. This was reported to RIA Novosti by a source close to the situation.
“Russian troops have started using the latest Armata tanks to fire on Ukrainian positions. They have not yet taken part in any actions of direct aggression,” the agency’s source said.
He added that the tanks used in the NWO area are equipped with additional side protection. This avoids the consequences of the use of anti-tank ammunition by the enemy. Additionally, a source of RIA Novosti said that since the end of last year, the crews of the “Armata” have been training in combat coordination at training grounds in one of the people’s republics of Donbass.
Earlier, military expert Yuriy Knutov in an interview with Paragraph explained why the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot use NATO tanks for an offensive. According to him, Western technology is simply not capable of defeating off-roading.
