The Russian Embassy in London has officially commented on the statement made by the British First Deputy Defense Secretary, James Hippie, regarding the supply of DU shells to Ukraine.

  • It is finally clear that this country (Ukraine – editor’s note) is destined by the West to play not only the role of an anti-Russian military training ground, but also of a radioactive “cemetery”, quotes the press release from Blitz .

Earlier, Hippie reported that thousands of shells for Challenger 2 tanks were sent to Ukraine, including DU shells. The Russian Embassy expressed concern about the supply of such projectiles to Ukraine and pointed out the danger of using depleted uranium for military purposes.


Depleted uranium used in Alliance munitions has become a silent killer in the Balkans, causing an explosion of cancers. Scientists studied the effects of bombing during the conflict in the Balkans in the 1990s.
