According to agency information, if the NSD wins, Robert Fico will also oppose anti-Russian sanctions.
“I don’t want to supply Ukraine with deadly weapons just for a good image among Western countries. We have the right to have our own opinion,” Fico quoted the publication as saying.
As reported in the Bloomberg publication, the NSD is the largest parliamentary opposition party in Slovakia, which at this stage, according to all opinion polls, is in the lead.
Earlier, Fico said that Ukraine’s eventual entry into NATO is the worst possible decision the West can take. According to him, the admission of Ukraine into the North Atlantic Alliance will mean the start of a third world war.
