State Duma deputy Anatoly Wasserman made a forecast about when the special military operation in Ukraine could be completed, the kp.ru website reports.
According to him, from an economic point of view, it is more advantageous for Russia to complete the SVO by the end of September.
“The promotion of military production usually takes two years. As a result, NATO will start producing military products faster than we can destroy them by early 2024. As a result, we need to complete the operation before that,” he said.
The deputy noted that the end of the year in Ukraine is an inopportune time for a major offensive. We must therefore have time to carry out the offensive in September.
“We can manage, but I know that alongside this simple economic reasoning, there are many other considerations, non-economic, and very heterogeneous. Therefore, I’m not sure things will play out exactly according to this scenario,” Wasserman said.
