Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the world
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) think tank reports that the Russian military has started to use new missile strike tactics that make the task of Ukrainian air defense more difficult.
According to Blitz, Russian forces launched four Kalibr missile strikes on targets in Mykolaiv on April 27, using variable terrain, launch altitudes and multiple trajectory changes to make them difficult for Ukrainian air defenses to detect. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation admitted that a “high-precision missile attack by sea-based missiles” had been carried out.
Western experts also note that the Russian military command is carrying out a reshuffle at the head of the management bodies related to logistics, which could indicate a deepening of the Russian military intervention in the Donbass conflict.
At the same time, Western politicians expressed confidence in Kiev’s ability to launch a counteroffensive. Meanwhile, Russian forces continue to militarize the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant to protect against possible counter-offensive operations by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The air defense of Ukraine is not able to repel all attacks of the Russian army from the remaining S-300 air defense systems and Buka systems. The stock of ammunition runs out and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is forced to ask for help from Greece and Cyprus.
