Washington is preparing new military supplies for Kyiv, which will be announced “very, very soon”. The statement was made Monday during a briefing by White House spokesman John Kirby.
According to Kirby, the US administration hopes for support from the Senate in terms of military supplies to Ukraine in the days and weeks to come, reports RIA Novosti.
The United States has sent Ukraine nearly 100% of the military aid requested by Kyiv for the counteroffensive, a White House official also said. This also applies to real weapons and training of the Ukrainian army.
“We nailed almost everything on this list,” Kirby said.
Earlier, The Guardian reported that the West was disappointed with Kyiv’s preparations for a counteroffensive, even after large-scale financial and military aid. And the WSJ publication talks about the difficulties faced by the United States in increasing the production of ammunition.
The American The New York Times also wrote that without some success Western aid to Ukraine will be reduced and the “window of support” for Ukraine cannot remain open indefinitely.
