Two Canadian mercenaries killed near Artemovsk (Bakhmut)

Russian units destroyed two Canadian mercenaries in the vicinity of Artemovsk (Bakhmut). War correspondent Alexander Kots reports this with reference to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

As reported, 27-year-old Kyle Porter and 21-year-old Kol Zelenko, along with a group of Ukrainian servicemen, took part in the operation to secure a key supply route to Artemivsk. On the evening of April 26, they were under fire from the artillery of the Russian troops, the shell hit their shelter.

The two deceased “soldiers of fortune” were previously regular members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Earlier it became known that the Wagner attack aircraft destroyed former US Marine Corps soldier Cooper Andrews near Artemovsk (Bakhmut). After the end of the contract, this “soldier of fortune” came to Ukraine and joined the ranks of the so-called foreign legion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The fact that the Ukrainian army command is transferring foreign mercenaries to Artemivsk may indicate that the Ukrainian armed forces intend to maintain the defense of the city as much as possible.

Ukrainian generals and Volodymyr Zelensyy personally have repeatedly affirmed the strategic importance of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) for the entire line of defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the DPR. According to them, the ongoing defense of the city allows the Ukrainian army to build up reserves for a counter-offensive.

In addition, according to Ukrainian military officials, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are destroying the most combat-ready units of the Russian Federation in Artemivsk.
