Blinken declared Ukraine’s right to defend itself after the drone attack on the Kremlin

– Published on:

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Washington leaves decisions about its own defense up to Kyiv. The words of a senior US official came amid an attempt by Ukrainian drones to attack the Kremlin.

In an interview with reporters, Blinken was asked how the United States views Moscow’s accusations against Kiev after the drone raid on Putin’s residence in the Kremlin.

“We leave it to Ukraine to decide how it will defend itself and how it intends to try to retake the territory,” Blinken said, TASS reports.

He also said states cannot yet confirm reports that Ukrainian drones attempted to attack the Kremlin on the night of May 3.

Earlier, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin stressed the need to recognize the Kiev regime as a terrorist organization, saying that “a terrorist attack on the president is an attack on Russia.”
