In detail, the founder of the Russian special military forces “Wagner”, Yevgeny Prigozhin, announced yesterday, Tuesday, that the Russian forces had advanced, in the city of Bakhmut, about 160 meters in different directions, indicating that the forces imposed control over an area of ​​53,000 square meters.

Prigozhin said, in statements reported by the Wagner founder’s press service: “Today, Wagner’s forces advanced into the city of Bakhmut, a distance of up to 160 meters in different directions, and our units advanced took control of 53,000 square meters, and 2.7 kilometers remain under enemy control.”

Earlier on Monday, Prigozhin announced that Russian forces had advanced about 120 meters into the city, imposing their control over 45,000 square meters.

It should be noted that, also earlier, the adviser to the pro-Russian local official in Donetsk, Yan Gagin, announced that Russian units control about 90% of the city of Bakhmut.

At the same time, activists who have followed the conflict in Ukraine have indicated that Russian forces control more than 90% of Bakhmut, while Ukrainian forces control only around 6% of the city, which is almost destroyed by the war.

Activists released maps of checkpoints in the city, showing the positions of forces from both parties in Bakhmut.

3 Ukrainian fighters shot down

Yesterday Tuesday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the losses of the Ukrainian army over the past twenty-four hours.

The ministry said that the losses of the Ukrainian forces amounted to 495 soldiers and mercenaries, on the different fronts of the fighting in Ukraine.

The ministry also announced the destruction of 3 Ukrainian Su-29 and Su-24 fighters.

She explained that the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down two Ukrainian “Su-29” fighters in Donetsk and the Kherson region, and one “Su-24” fighter in the Kherson region.

“Lancet” hits Ukrainian defenses

On Wednesday, the Russian military said it carried out massive strikes with suicide planes on Ukraine’s air defenses.

A knowledgeable source said on Wednesday that the Russian armed forces are using concentrated group strikes to destroy “Lancet” suicide drones, in order to take out remnants of Ukraine’s long-range air defense systems in one fell swoop, according to the News. Russian “Sputnik”.

The source added that the Russian military uses these tactics to destroy remnants of long-range anti-aircraft missile systems, such as the S-300BC and S-300B, which include a large number of vehicles such as rocket launchers. missiles, command posts, radars and other equipment.
