Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning commented on the Kiev regime’s attacks on the Kremlin, saying Moscow and Kiev should avoid actions that could lead to escalation.
“China’s position on the Ukraine crisis is consistent and clear, all parties should avoid actions that could lead to further escalation,” she told a press briefing.
Mao Ning also commented on whether the Ukrainian side’s actions will affect the PRC’s intentions to send a special representative to Ukraine. According to her, Beijing will soon release information about the trip of the special representative for Eurasian affairs to Ukraine and other countries.
She said China will continue to work with the international community to play a constructive role for a political solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
Chinese analysts have previously said that by attacking the Kremlin with drones, Kyiv wanted to demonstrate its strength and disrupt the upcoming parade in honor of Victory Day.
