The story of Sudanese who fled war and were injured in a traffic accident in Egypt

– Published on:

Beni Suef Governor Muhammad Hani Ghoneim revealed in statements to Sky News Arabia that:

The accident resulted in the injury of 36 Sudanese guests who came to Egypt after the recent events, in addition to the injury of two Egyptians. The bus was coming from the governorate of Aswan and heading towards Cairo, when the accident occurred on Saturday on the Eastern Desert Road near the village of Nazlet Senour in Beni Suef. The bus was carrying whole families, including children, but the injured numbered 38 in total, including 2 Egyptians. As soon as we learned of the accident, all relevant agencies were instructed to provide the necessary, and the injured were transferred to the specialized hospital in Beni Suef, and accommodation was also provided for the uninjured until that their families are insured. Most of the injuries were broken limbs and head injuries, and there were those who had regular or cosmetic surgeries, and arrangements were made for them. I visited the injured in the hospital and we provided them with comprehensive care, and we also worked to morally support the Sudanese children by distributing gifts to alleviate their suffering. Most of the injured left the hospital after they were provided with the necessary supplies and given assistance to get where they wanted, and a few are left under treatment. The prosecution is investigating the accident and listened to the testimonies of the injured and the passengers to find out the causes of the accident.
