Al Pacino, Viggo Mortensen, John Travolta, Shia LaBeouf, Rebecca Pidgeon and Courtney Love will work on the thriller Assassination. The director’s chair will be occupied by David Mamet (“Wagery”) from a screenplay he wrote with Nicholas Celozzi.
The film will tell the story of John F. Kennedy’s assassination from the perspective of an observer in the crowd. The focus will be on the fact that Chicago mob boss Sam Giancana ‘ordered’ the current leader of the United States to JFK’s attempt to undermine an organized group after he helped him to win the elections. And this scenario also appears in John F. Kennedy: Shots in Dallas by Oliver Stone in 1991.
Filming for Assassination will begin in Vancouver, Canada in September.
