The main opponent of current Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in the presidential elections, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, has said that the new Turkish leader will not be determined in the first round. He expressed this opinion publicly at a press conference at his party headquarters.
Shortly before that, Erdogan, in a speech to supporters from the balcony of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) building in Ankara, said he was leading in the preliminary results of the vote.
“Erdogan, despite all his blasphemies, probably did not achieve the expected results… The elections for the balconies are not won,” Kılıçdaroğlu commented on his opponent’s remarks.
He also announced that he himself is ready for the second round of the presidential election, in which he believes he will undoubtedly win.
Meanwhile, in a speech from the balcony of the party headquarters, Erdogan accused the opposition of trying to deceive the people by claiming its candidate is leading the country’s presidential election.
