Turkey’s ruling party overtakes opposition in parliamentary seats

The ruling Justice Party and the opposition Republican Alliance will win the majority of seats in the Turkish parliament. Such results were shown by the vote count with 51.9% of the ballot boxes, the data is provided by Anadolu.

Incumbent Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s party won 37.6% of the vote, securing seats for 275 of its MPs, and together with its Nationalist Movement ally party, will win 53.2% of the vote and more than 330 seats in the parliament.

Around 32% of people voted for the People’s Alliance and nearly 9% for the Labor and Freedom Alliance.

Earlier it was reported that according to the results of the vote count with 30% of the ballot boxes in the presidential elections, Erdogan got 53.92% and his rival Kemal Kılıçdaroglu – 40.12%
