In such a situation, if you are also changing the job or have changed, then after joining the new company, complete one task very carefully. This work is to merge EPF account.

While joining every new company, a new PF account is opened with your old UAN number only. But the money deposited during the job in the old companies is not added to the new PF account. Therefore, the PF account holder will have to merge the account (EPF Account Merge) by visiting the EPFO ​​website.

After the merger of EPF account, the total amount will be reflected in your single account. You can easily merge your PF account online. For this you have to visit the official website of EPFO. Here you have to go to Services. After this click on One Employee One EPF Account.

OTP will come on the registered mobile number

After this, the form for merging the EPF account will open. Here you have to enter the mobile number registered with the EPF account. After that enter UAN and existing member ID. After filling the complete information OTP will be generated for authentication. OTP will come on your registered mobile number.

As soon as you enter the OTP number. Then the details of your old account will start appearing. After this fill the PF account number and click on the submit button. Your request for account merger will be accepted. Then after a few days of verification, your account will be merged.

UAN is very important

However, keep in mind that you need to know your UAN (Universal Account Number) to avail any facility related to EPF online. Along with this, it is also necessary for UAN to be active.

Know your UAN like this

If you do not know your UAN, you can find it online. For this you have to go to After this, click on the Employee Linked section on the right side and click on ‘Know your UAN’ number. Then you have to fill the registered mobile number and captcha code.

After that click on Request OTP. Now a page will open in front of you. On this you have to fill your PF account number and captcha. Aadhaar or PAN number has to be entered along with the date of birth. Then click on ‘show my UAN number’. You will get your UAN.
