The IOC specifically expressed its concerns regarding the Wrestling Federation of India. This is the second time that the IOC has expressed concern over the delay in filling up the post of Secretary General/CEO in the IOA. All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Kalyan Choubey is currently holding the position of interim CEO of IOA.

The IOC statement further said, “In addition, India’s NOC is expected to work closely with international federations to address a number of current issues affecting Indian sports federations in a coordinated manner and in accordance with the rules and regulations of international federations.” has been requested. Significantly, the IOA has appointed an ad hoc committee and returning officer to set up a new governing body for the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). The WFI elections, scheduled for July 6, have reportedly been postponed to July 11.
