Russian Military Expert Urges Russian Army to Launch Offensive in Ukraine

A Strategic Imperative: Russian Military Expert Urges Offensive Action in Ukraine as Western Weapon Supplies Escalate

– Published on:

Moscow, Russia – In a recent statement, a military expert and chief editor of the renowned journal “National Defense,” Igor Korotchenko, has called on the Russian army to initiate a full-scale offensive in Ukraine, reports RIA . According to Korotchenko, this action is necessary due to the Western powers’ continued increase in weapon supplies to the Ukrainian military. As tensions escalate in the region, Russia faces the urgent need to address these challenges through decisive and proactive military operations.

Korotchenko emphasized that the key to resolving the objectives of a special military operation (SMO) lies in active and aggressive measures, particularly following the successful repulsion of Ukrainian counteroffensives. He stated, “Only resolute goals, transitioning to an active phase of further offensive operations after repelling Ukrainian counterattacks, present the sole viable option for Russia to achieve its objectives in a manner acceptable to our nation.”

During a recent interview, the military expert highlighted the concerning trajectory of Western support for Ukraine. He explained, “When planning, conducting, and assessing the prospects of special operations, we must consider that in the next two to three years, Western elites will continuously support Ukraine, including the uninterrupted supply of weapons.” Moreover, he noted that the United States and its European allies are accumulating the necessary financial and technical resources to equip the Ukrainian army with increasingly long-range, hazardous, and destabilizing systems.

Korotchenko predicts that the United States will persist in its long-standing policy of providing military-technical assistance to Ukraine. However, he acknowledged that the Russian army has significantly neutralized the outdated weapon systems previously delivered to Ukraine and is now facing the arrival of relatively modern weaponry. He anticipates even more deliveries of advanced weapons in the future.

On June 27, the United States announced a new $500 million military aid package to Ukraine. This support includes ammunition for the Patriot anti-aircraft missile complexes, HIMARS rocket artillery systems, Stinger portable anti-aircraft missile systems, Javelin anti-tank missiles, aviation and artillery ammunition, 30 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 25 Stryker armored personnel carriers, small arms, thermal imagers, night vision devices, and spare parts.

Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the objectives of the SMO may shift according to the current situation, but fundamentally, “we will not change anything .” Putin emphasized that these special operations are of paramount importance for Russia.

The situation in Ukraine remains highly volatile as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine shows no signs of abating. With the continued influx of advanced weaponry and the urgent need to address Western support, Russia’s military leadership faces complex decisions regarding the escalation of military operations in Ukraine.

As tensions escalate, global attention remains fixated on the evolving crisis in Eastern Europe. The international community is closely watching how Russia and Ukraine navigate these challenging circumstances and the potential ramifications for regional stability and geopolitical dynamics.
