Why the Bengals Need Loveland. The question everyone will be asking is, “Why Colston Loveland?” The Bengals draft this year brought in some pieces, plus they always have Ja'Marr Chase to catch a ton of passes.

In this day and age of NFL sports, having an -athletic tight end is a must. We have seen George Kittle and dominate. Young guys like T.J. Hockenson and Sam LaPorta became instant difference-makers for their teams. Loveland has the potential to do that for the Bengals.

Loveland has an ideal NFL size at 6'5” and 245 lbs. He has room to add to his frame to make him better in the blocking game. But his elite athleticism and deep play potential are what make him truly enticing. A home-run hitter in the middle of the field is exactly what a quarterback like Burrow can make fantastic use of.

With eyes on 2025, the Bengals draft next year could be just what is needed to restock the cabinet and give Joe Burrow something to work with. Depending on where he lands on most draft boards, the Bengals may have to move up to get him.

Colston will bear close watching this season at . As the #1 tight end in the country, he will have a lot of pressure to perform. As he has done during his first two years at Michigan, it's a good bet that he will rise to the pressure and thrive.
