Today’s Quordle #1632 answers:
EBONY – AVOID – RODEO – CUTIE
RODEO is today’s outlier – the word most likely to slow solvers down. It ends in O, a relatively rare Quordle terminal, and contains two Os: one at position four, one at position five. That repeated vowel makes RODEO the grid’s one repeated-letter word, and the double-O ending means early guesses built around more common five-letter patterns will burn through attempts without landing on it. Solvers who open with vowel-heavy starters may surface the O pattern early; solvers who don’t will likely save RODEO for last.
EBONY is a clean find for most solvers: a well-known English word for a deep black colour (or the dense tropical hardwood from which the colour takes its name), five distinct letters, no unusual consonant clusters. Its difficulty is moderate – the E-B opening is not the first combination most starters target, but once the vowel scaffold narrows, EBONY resolves quickly.
AVOID is the most accessible entry in today’s set. A,V,O,I,D – five distinct letters, common English vocabulary, no double letters, no obscure consonants. The V in position two is the mild wildcard; most opening guesses don’t cover V early, which can delay placing it correctly. But the meaning is immediate, and the letter set is not hostile.
CUTIE rounds out the set as the board’s most informal word – a colloquial term of endearment with an -IE ending that Quordle uses periodically to remind solvers that the word list includes everyday spoken English alongside dictionary standards. The C-U opening is a moderate start point; the -TIE ending is distinctive enough that once the first three letters are established, the answer follows quickly.
