Among the riders building a presence around this culture is Zero Rider, an Ahmedabad-based motorcycle project centred around the Royal Enfield Continental GT650.
The identity behind Zero Rider is closely associated with a British Racing Green GT650 and a growing collection of documented motorcycle journeys. The project combines riding, photography, cinematic visuals and travel stories to capture what happens between leaving home and reaching the destination.
A GT650 and a Different Kind of Journey

The project’s ride archive includes journeys across Gujarat and beyond, with destinations ranging from coastal locations to cities and long-distance touring routes.
One of the more extensive journeys documented by the Biker is the Ahmedabad-to-Diu solo ride, covering approximately 950 kilometres over four days and three nights.
The route travelled through Chotila, Rajkot, Junagadh, Sasan Gir, Somnath and Kodinar before reaching Diu, with the return journey passing through Mahuva, Bhavnagar and Dholera before ending in Ahmedabad.
Rather than focusing solely on distance, the journey documents the changing character of the road — from highways and forest regions to coastal landscapes and the streets of Diu.
From Ahmedabad to Diu
Long-distance motorcycle journeys can often be defined by the destination, but the Ahmedabad-to-Diu trip offers a different perspective.
The route itself became an important part of the experience.
Leaving Ahmedabad meant gradually moving away from the city’s urban environment and into Gujarat’s highways. The journey then continued towards the Gir region before reaching the coast around Somnath and eventually Diu.
Two days were spent exploring Diu before beginning the return journey.
The complete journey forms part of the digital ride archive maintained by Zero Rider, giving viewers an opportunity to follow the route and experience the journey beyond a conventional travel itinerary.
