Registry, Noida Authority Transfer/Change, Metro Expansion and Urban Issues Discussed; Sappal Assures to Take Up Matters with Congress President Kharge Ji

NEW DELHI | October 1, 2026, 2026: Nikhil Singhal, President of the Noida HighRise Federation (NHRF) and an emerging young and dynamic leader and voice of Noida’s high-rise residents, met Shri Gurdeep Singh Sappal, Member of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) and AICC In-charge, Administration, at Indira Bhawan, New Delhi, during a courtesy visit.

Nikhil Singhal was accompanied by Sanjiv Arya, AICC Secretary and Uttar Pradesh Co-Incharge, along with Rupinder Singh. During the meeting, the leaders engaged in a detailed discussion on several important contemporary issues concerning Noida and Gautam Buddh Nagar, particularly those affecting residents and homebuyers.

The key issues discussed included the registry of properties in Gautam Buddh Nagar, challenges relating to transfer and change processes in the Noida Authority, and the need for further metro expansion in Noida to strengthen public transportation and connectivity in the rapidly expanding city.

The discussion also covered broader urban and civic issues, including the concerns of residents living in high-rise housing societies and the need for effective representation and coordination to ensure that these matters are appropriately taken up with the concerned authorities.

During the meeting, Shri Gurdeep Singh Sappal assured Nikhil Singhal that the issues raised would be taken up at the appropriate level and stated that he would also raise these matters with Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge ji. He further assured that efforts would be made to have suitable representation to regularly coordinate on these issues and pursue matters concerning Noida and Gautam Buddh Nagar with the relevant authorities.

Speaking on the occasion, Nikhil Singhal said, “It was an honour to meet Shri Gurdeep Singh Sappal ji at Indira Bhawan and receive his valuable guidance, affection and blessings. His experience and counsel have given us renewed energy to continue raising issues concerning the residents of Noida and Gautam Buddh Nagar.”

He further said, “The registry issue in Gautam Buddh Nagar, transfer and change-related matters with the Noida Authority and the expansion of the metro network are issues that have a direct impact on residents and the future growth of the region. These matters require sustained attention and coordinated efforts. I am grateful to Shri Sappal ji for giving us a patient hearing and assuring us that these concerns will be taken forward, including with Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge ji.”

Sanjiv Arya, AICC Secretary and Uttar Pradesh Co-Incharge, said, “Noida and Gautam Buddh Nagar have witnessed rapid urban growth, and it is important that infrastructure and administrative systems evolve in accordance with the needs of residents. The issues discussed today, including registry, transfer-related matters and metro expansion, are significant concerns that require constructive dialogue and appropriate representation.”

The meeting also included a broader discussion on the betterment and planned development of Noida and Gautam Buddh Nagar, with emphasis on effective representation of residents’ concerns and constructive engagement with relevant stakeholders.
