Informal talks between Putin and Xi Jinping have ended in the Kremlin

Talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping have ended in the Kremlin. They lasted 4.5 hours.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Russia for a state visit. This is the first overseas visit by a Chinese leader since his re-election. In Vnukovo, Xi Jinping met with an orchestra and journalists. Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, arrived to meet him. The President of the People’s Republic of China was not only expected at the airport. Chinese citizens living in Russia gather outside the hotel where the leader will be staying.

During a meeting in the Kremlin, Jinping called Russian leader Vladimir Putin a dear friend. According to him, there should be close relations between China and Russia.

Putin also said China has made a breakthrough in recent years.
