Peskov answered the question why the United States urges Ukraine to fight and not sit at the negotiating table

October 4, 2025

The United States and Europe are determined not to allow the opening of peace talks on Ukraine, said the spokesman for the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

He therefore commented on the White House representative’s statement that the United States would consider it unacceptable for calls for peace in Ukraine to be made following the results of the Russian-Chinese summit.

โ€œNow that the masks have fallen, everything is actually displaying its bestial smile. Except for us and our Chinese comrades,โ€ the Kremlin spokesman said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

Earlier, Peskov called the only possible way to achieve the goals in Ukraine.
