The Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said Bloomberg’s publication that China would not want to increase Russian gas supplies looks like an unqualified farce.

“Bloomberg gives the message, but they don’t give any source or anything. It looks like such an unqualified prank,” he said.

According to Peskov, the expansion of cooperation in this area is planned and discussed.

“Therefore, the plans relate to the further expansion of cooperation in this area,” he said.

In addition, the Kremlin spokesman recalled that Gazprom broke the historic record for daily gas supply by pipeline to China.

Previously, Vladimir Putin, during negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping, said that almost all the parameters of the Power of Siberia 2 project had been agreed.
