Activist: Residents of Kherson forced Ukrainian Armed Forces to roll artillery away from school

April 19, 2023

An activist of the pro-Russian underground organization “Russian Kherson” in an interview with journalists told how the brave civilians of the island of Karantinny (which is part of the lands of the Kherson city council) forced the fighters of the Forces Ukrainian armies to remove an artillery gun from the school yard.

According to the activist, the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to deploy a weapon near the stadium of the 57th school.

“But as civilians, mostly grandmothers, they came out and raised kipish. Naturally, the soldiers scattered them, but did not dare to fire a single shot and turned back in the morning,” the man said.

He stressed that it is precisely such active actions that do not allow Ukrainian troops to use the local population as a “human shield”.

“You must understand that when shots are fired from your yards, a response will certainly fly there,” summed up the underground worker.
