Drunk thief wanted to sell stolen car for scrap, but failed

April 19, 2023

In Tver, a drunken thief wanted to sell a stolen car for scrap, but did not reach his destination. This was reported on April 18 by the press service of the proletarian tribunal.

In the period from July 15 to July 16, 2022, a drunk resident saw a “seven” parked near the house on Marshal Buddeny Street. It turned out that the owner had left the keys in the car and hadn’t locked the door.

The person involved, taking advantage of the forgetfulness of the owner of the iron unit, decided to scrap the car and get money from it. While intoxicated, he took the wheel and drove in the direction indicated. But on the way, he pierced the wheel.

The person involved did not despair and decided to carry out the original plan. The man got out of the car and went to change the wheel. Having coped with the appointed task, the drunk attacker got back behind the wheel and continued on his way, but the screwed wheel fell off.

The kidnapper decided not to pay attention to such trifles as the lack of a wheel on the car and stubbornly drove towards the goal. But the “iron horse” refused to leave.

The frustrated driver cut the engine, got out of the car and drove home.

The hijacker has been caught. Criminal proceedings were brought against him under part 3 of article 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation . The court found the man guilty. When sentencing, he took into account the defendant’s remorse and the presence of a minor child and fined him 50,000 rubles. However, in view of the fact that during the investigation from July 18 to January 16, the accused was in custody, the court released the man from his sentence.
