Expert advice from government agencies optimizes on behalf of Putin

Expert advice from state structures is optimizing on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a post on the Kremlin’s website.

The order instructs the Government of the Russian Federation, in collaboration with the Russian Academy of Sciences, “to optimize expert advice operating under federal executive authorities and state corporations.”

At the same time, it is prescribed to involve public and private high-tech companies in this process. It is stated that the purpose of this work is to constitute a unified system for the review of scientific and technical programs and projects financed from the budget.

The order also determines the deadline for the report on this issue – July 10, 2023. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Krasnikov were appointed responsible for the implementation.
