All ice roads in Pomorie are closed. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Rescuers spoke about the preventive operation “Ice Crossing”. In this context, inspectors from the GIMS Center checked compliance with the mandatory requirements for the operation of the ice crossings. The main objective of the measures taken was to prevent accidents on these roads.
The Waterborne Life Safety Department reminds locals: Spring ice is unpredictable and fraught with danger at this time. The resistance test often ends with swimming in icy water, because the ice floes often turn over, break, collide, hit objects in the water. Also, the adult population is invited to talk with children about the dangers of going out on the ice.
