Erdogan announced the construction of an aircraft carrier that will be twice the size of the TCG Anadolu
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced plans to build a new aircraft carrier twice the size of the new landing ship TCG Anadolu. According to the reference information, the approved dimensions of the TCG Anadolu vessel are: length 231 m, width 32 m, draft 6.8 m, height 58 m.
The Turkish leader announced it during the opening ceremony of the Sakarya sports complex.
On May 14, presidential and parliamentary elections will take place in Turkey. In his speech, Erdogan stressed that the country’s authorities continue to take measures that “will permanently reduce inflation to single digits”. He once again honored the memory of those who died as a result of major earthquakes.
