The press service of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that there was no direct ban on issuing visas to Russian citizens. Visas continue to be issued, although there have been some changes.

“There is no prohibition in principle. Consular services process visa applications from Russian citizens in accordance with applicable law, taking into account the European Union’s complete suspension of the visa facilitation agreement between the EU and Russia,” said representatives of the French Foreign Ministry. assured.

Earlier, in early April, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia reported that there is no urgent application for Schengen visas in the Russian Federation and the average processing time is three weeks. At the same time, the association recalled that Greece, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Hungary and Cyprus continue to issue Schengen visas to citizens of the Russian Federation.
