extroverts are happier than introverts

May 3, 2023

More sociable people turned out to be psychologically better than those who avoid social contacts. This was told to the journal Scientific Reports by researchers from Australia and the United States.

Experts obtained information about more than a thousand healthy people from another scientific work that studied markers of the mental health endophenotype. Scientists were interested in assessing the cognitive characteristics of the personality of volunteers.

The researchers found that mental well-being was an indicator of a person’s extraversion. That is, extroverts more often perceived the past year as more successful than introverts.

The main reason lies on the surface. Sociable people interact more with others, which allows them to maintain a normal psychological state.

In addition, a person’s extraversion depends on conscientiousness, the level of emotional instability and the ability to evaluate themselves and others, according to Naked Science.
